GOOEY

In a not-too-distant future, will every object, every gesture be mapped to a mediated output? And what will the relationship be between the input gesture and the output result?

Gooey is a virtual reality installation inspired by the concept of Zero UI, in which a user interacts not with a touchscreen or keyboard but with their natural/physical environment to control a mediated one. It was exhibited October, 2017 at Swipe Fright, an event curated by artist and curator Gabe Barcia-Colombo.
